The Ferrari 1000 from Acer combines breakthrough technologies from the fast-moving world of Formula 1 with revolutionary dual-core processing power in an ultra-lightweight notebook that delivers a mobile experience second to none.

Sleekly styled, the Ferrari 1004 redefines the shape of mobile perfection with seamless wireless and wired communication and an integrated 1.3-megapixel Acer OrbiCam positioned on top of the LCD panel with a 225-degree rotation. And it’s stylishly appointed with a sleek, black casing accented by signature Ferrari red edges and the classic yellow prancing horse Ferrari logo. This notebook measures 11.9 x 8.7 x 1.4 inches (WxDxH) and weighs 4 pounds (with batteries).

In addition to the Webcam, the Acer Ferrari 1000 packs an impressive set of multimedia and connectivity features. Around the case are VGA-out, FireWire, and three USB 2.0 ports, plus mic-in, line-in, and headphone jacks with S/PDIF support. A 5-in-1 flash card reader and a Type II PC Card slot handle your memory card and expansion needs. Networking connections include modem, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11n Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.

The 1.8 GHz AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-56 processor offers a dual-core architecture, which delivers additional computing resources to help expand your PC’s capabilities by providing higher throughput and simultaneous computing–increasing your performance by up to 80 percent. Each processing core has a 512 KB L2 cache (for a 1 MB total), and this processor can deliver up to a 1600 MHz system bus for lightning quick computing reflexes. And a 160 GB hard drive, 1 GB of RAM (2 GB max).
