There have been good Spider-Man games, there have been bad Spider-Man games. The only thing that’s really certain is that there will always be a next one, and Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions is it. In it, you play Peter Parker’s superhero self in each of four different Marvel universes. A ludicrous plot will tie them all together, no doubt. Comic book universes are a complicated, and often logically inconsistent concept, but their one strength is that we get to see our favourite heroes in a completely different art style.
So far, the Amazing Spider-Man and Spider-Man Noire the only of the four game worlds that have been confirmed. Fingers crossed for Spider-Man Manga, that could be fun.
