While the iPhone 5 might not be arriving any time soon, this hasn’t stopped artists and design firms from creating their own mock-ups of the rumoured upcoming Apple product.
After analysing the various iPhone 5 rumours and information that speculates the phone’s specifications and features, Italian designer Federico Ciccares created these renders of a sleek and modern iPhone 5.
Ciccarese’s vision of the iPhone predicts a slightly curved back, similar to that of Apple’s Magic Mouse. The display is flat and “retina” in nature and the phone tapers off at both the top and bottom. The back of the phone appears to be blasted aluminium found on the MacBook Pro, MacBook Air and iMac. The headphone jack has also been moved to the side of the device to accommodate the new design.
The overall design presents a phone that reflects Apple’s ongoing ability to set itself apart from other devices currently on the market especially with unique design touches illustrated by Ciccarese’s idea of a glowing Apple icon at the back of the phone.
This isn’t the first time Ciccarese has mocked up his own version of future Apple products. Ciccarese has also rendered his own design of Apple’s rumoured integrated TV, the iScreen.
