Meet MacStickrs, a small internet based company that specialises in simple custom vinyl decals for Apple Inc. products. MacStickrs lets you personlise and accessorise your beloved Mac and other Apple products, giving them some personality while maintaining their sleek and clean design.
The stickers don’t leave any marks, they’re reusable, very easy to stick and they don’t curl up on the edges.
MacStickrs, launched in 2011, was founded by Aleksandr Karev, from Latvia and Jaroslav Urban from Lithuania with a goal to add a personal touch to the Apple MacBook with discreet, smart and fun decals that express each individual’s personality without interfering with the Apple product design. While Karev handles customer relations, support and business development, Urban is the company’s CFO and creative designer. As fate would have it, they met each other in the UK during their freshers week at Loughborough University.
Stickers that are available to purchase can be found on the MacStickrs website and while individual designs cannot be requested at the moment however, should enough customers request a new design, MacStickrs is always open to new ideas. Due to the high demand, the iPotter sticker has just been launched.
Once ordered, MacStickrs can be shipped all over the world, from where ever you may use your Apple device. MacStickrs also ensures that all of their payment methods are secured and processed via PayPal, through which all major credit cards are accepted. MacStickrs also accepts direct deposits.

As with any new startup, there were a few challenges along the way. “The main challenge which we came across at the beginning of the project was our lack of knowledge and skills in website development,” explains Urban. “Both of us were total novices in that area as the only thing we knew back then was how to check emails and type essays on Word.” The project has been a great learning curve for the young entrepreneurs as over the course of the project both of them learned a great deal about the latest in online developments and technology, enabling them to launch their very own website.

Where to from here? Well, MacStickrs is certainly ambitious. “Our goal is to produce a MacBook sticker so revolutionary and better than any other out there, that we can totally wipe out the competition and dominate the market in the next 5 years,” says Urban.
