With news of the Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet being released soon, we were eager to see if Samsung would employ their aggressive marketing strategy that has seen many of their recent products sell like hotcakes. Well, we didn’t have to wait long for our answer. Circulating the internet over the last couple of days is a new commercial for the device.
Samsung have teamed up with James Franco to create this, let’s call it, interesting commercial for their newest tablet, apparently made for the multi-tasker. With the first demo video released of the device, we could certainly see this to be the case.
While we know James Franco is a big deal these days, we do find this ad quite strange. Yes, he is of course an actor, director, writer, producer and has a Ph.D. in English, but with Franco bragging about himself, getting clumsily involved in a pillow fight with a couple of women and checking a woman’s throat for infection with his tablet does make for some strange viewing.
