My Broadband reports that Samsung’s Galaxy Note 10.1 has officially launched in South Africa at an event in Johannesburg.
The device, powered by Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) features a 1.4GHz quad-core processor, 5 megapixel rear facing camera with autofocus and LED Flash, 1.9 megapixel front facing camera, full HD playback and HD video recording, Samsung’s Note Series S Pen and up to 64GB of storage.

Samsung will be shipping the device worldwide with both the WiFi and 3G varieties available. There is also an LTE version set for American and European markets.
According to Samsung, the Galaxy Note will retail for R8, 499.
