Since first reporting on the making of a new biopic about the life of Steve Jobs, starring Ashton Kutcher in the title role, it has now been revealed that the independent film titled jOBS will be screened at the Sundance Film Festival on 27 January 2013.

We also now know that the film will look at the life of jobs from 1971 to 2000 covering his time at Apple, NeXT (you can watch some brainstorming footage here) and Pixar.

The film has already received positive reviews from those special few who have had the chance to see it with The Sundance Festival director, John Cooper telling The Hollywood Reporter that, Ashton Kutcher’s performance is “very formidable” and “it seemed like he really tried to grasp all the nuances of who Steve Jobs was.”

Directed by Joshua Michael Stern, Kutcher will be joined by actors Dermot Mulroney, Josh Gad and Matthew Modine.

A film based on the former Apple CEO’s biography by Walter Isaacson, written by The Social Network’s Aaron Sorkin is also in the works.
