Research in Motion (RIM) has announced that its launch event for BB10 will take place on 30th January 2013 in multiple countries around the world simultaneously.
It is also at this launch event that RIM has revealed that two of the smartphones to run the new operating system will be unveiled. It has been rumoured that the first of these two devices is the BlackBerry Z10, a video of which has already leaked online having been posted by Austrian publication Telekom-Presse only a few days ago.
However, details of where and when these devices will be available have yet to be confirmed. It is expected that these details will also be announced at the launch event.
Now, The Verge has received a document from a Vodafone employee in the UK that detail when the new BB10 device will be available to customers.
The document reveals that the device will be available to order online from 5pm on 30th January and that no devices may be sold or opened before that time. It also details the available colours of the device – black will be available at launch followed by a white variant in mid-February.
On 25th January RIM announced that its new Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) solution, BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10, became available for download.
