Protcon 2013, that is about turning ideas into reality, has announced Dr Ernest van Biljon as the event’s keynote speaker.
The 2013 Prototyping Conference, taking place on the 14th and 15th March in George, aims to bring all the parties in the production life cycle together in an enabling environment that stimulates networking and interaction between businesses through a series of themed sessions.
About Dr van Biljon:
Ernest holds a doctorate in logistics and supply chain management specializing in strategic process management. Over the last thirteen years he has been extensively involved in the commercialization of high-impact IP. In his early career, he specialized in knowledge management and soon realized that although there are many good projects and ideas in the world, those that succeed are underpinned by successful commercial process management.
Having been a Professor in Logistics Management and Campus Principal at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, Ernst moved to the private sector in 2007. Ernst has extensive exposure to technology-business incubation models in China, Singapore and Europe and has led enterprise-engineering processes in many ventures. He has been involved in commercial ventures in Africa and has worked on the commercialization of high-impact technologies in Switzerland, China and South Africa.
Ernst is also closely involved in the Academy of Commerce Edge South Africa, which offers educational and professional qualifications in Supply Chain Management throughout Africa.
