Google has recently released a new promo video for Project Glass entitled How it Feels (through Glass).
The video shows how the device displays when using features like voice interaction, sharing, turn-by-turn navigation and Google Now integration.
Along with the release of the video, Google has expanded on pre-orders for the device, first announced at Google I/O 2012 and available only to developers and certain media.
Google Glass has since been demonstrated by various Google employees and models at New York Fashion Week to record the preparations for Diane von Furstenberg’s DVF Spring 2013 Collection.
With the pre-order expansion, Google is now targeting “bold, creative individuals” interested in experiencing Google Glass via its Google Glass page. The page explains how Glass feels, what it does and how to get one.
Google writes, “We’re looking for bold, creative individuals who want to join us and be a part of shaping the future of Glass. We’d love to make everyone an Explorer, but we’re starting off a bit smaller. We’re still in the early stages, and while we can’t promise everything will be perfect, we can promise it will be exciting”.
In order to get their hands on Google Glass, individuals need to tell Google what they would do if they had Glass. Answers need to be submitted via Twitter and Google+ with the hashtag #ifihadglass.
However, don’t think Google is giving them away for free. ‘Explorers’ will still need to pre-order a Glass Explorer Edition for $1500 and attend a special pick-up experience in New York, San Francisco or Los Angeles.
