Facebook has announced a while new look to the site for its news feed, with a cleaner, less cluttered and “more vibrant” look for photos, news articles, maps and events.
The new design also mirrors that of Facebook on mobile and tablet.

With the addition of more news feeds, the design makes it easier for users to see certain types of content their friends are sharing and filter content depending on what they want to see and share.
These extra news feeds are Friends, a feed that shows everything friends are sharing; Photos, a feed displaying only photos from friends and pages you like; Music, a feed that shows your favourite music and Following with the latest news from pages liked and people followed.

While Facebook will be rolling out the new design to web and mobile over the coming weeks, users who cannot wait can sign up to a waiting list at Facebook’s news feed page.
