Speculation pinpoints that a Huawei Watch 2 might make an appearance at the Consumer Electronics Show next year.
While the Huawei Watch might not be officially available in South Africa yet, that hasn’t stopped us falling in love following the hands on time we had with the device at AfricaCom 2015. Now, rumours posit that the Chinese company might unveil a Huawei Watch 2 at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) next year.
According to speculation, a new Huawei Watch might be aimed at women, and will allegedly come with a “rounder” and more elegant case with more feminine wrist bands.
The device itself might be positioned to compete with a new and smaller version of the Moto 360, which also is aimed at female consumers.
It is presently unclear as to whether a new Huawei Watch would take the form of a sequel device, or would be an entirely new offering in Huawei’s wearable lineup. An unnamed source has also reported that the device will further support cellular data connectivity.
What are your thoughts? Should Huawei reveal a second device in the Watch lineup so quickly? Should the firm not focus on offering feminine accessories to the original Watch instead? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
