Samsung Galaxy S7 to be released earlier than expected?

Even though the launch of the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ is still fresh in our memories, our attentions are already turned the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7 with some new reports.
A couple of months before the aforementioned launches, we already heard rumours that they might be launched earlier in the year than their predecessors were. This might very well be the case for the Galaxy S7 as well. A new report from Korea falls nicely in place between those late 2015-early 2016 release rumours for the Samsung Galaxy S7
This report states that the next Samsung flagship will be announced in early January, with launch and availability one month later, in early February.
January is of course the time for CES (Consumer Electronic Show) in Las Vegas, but Samsung don‘t traditionally announce any high profile devices at that show. We would expect them to hold their own event, as per usual.
The Galaxy S7, according to the latest rumours, is expected to pack either the Snapdragon 820, or the upcoming Samsung Exynos SoC. It could be both as well (a strategy they have employed previously), for different regions.
What do you think about Samsung pushing their launches earlier than before? Will this strategy work to turn around their sales? Let us know in the comments below.
