Just as a wave of leaks preceded the release of the BlackBerry Priv or ‘Venice’ before it, a new smartphone has leaked from the Canadian company in the form of the ‘Vienna’.
Leaked renders of the Vienna surfaced last night depicting the Vienna as a slimmed-down version of the Priv, which instead of sporting a slide-out keyboard instead has a permanent QWERTY keyboard at the base of the screen.
The Vienna strongly resembles the BlackBerry Passport in looks, and will likely debut as a phone that is far longer than its Android competitors.
Thus far, the Vienna is posited to carry a 5.4″ OLED display with a 2560 x 1440 resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, and 3GBs of RAM alongside an 18 megapixel rear camera.
The Vienna is likely a last ditch effort from BlackBerry, who have previously stated that the Priv might be the company’s last phone.
