Rumours: Microsoft producing an Xbox Two?

In a new interview, Microsoft’s Phil Spencer teased that the company might be producing a potential Xbox Two to follow up the company’s flagship console.

After news that Sony had bested Microsoft by selling over 30 million PlayStation 4 units compared to the company’s 10 million Xbox One sales figure, the Redmond company seems to be considering their options.
In a recent interview, Microsoft’s Phil Spencer, who heads up the company’s Xbox division, stated that gamers should “fully expect that you’ll see another console from us… Our best customers are Xbox console customers, and I want to keep those people engaged both on the Xbox One and anything we might do in the future. I’m 100% committed to that.”
Spencer didn’t note any details as to when we might see a follow up to the Xbox One – which, presumably, we’d refer to as the Xbox Two – but continued to elaborate that “I don’t want to dilute what the Xbox console customer feels. I want to expand what we’re able to do for more customers.”
While the company’s Xbox One console hasn’t sold in great numbers when compared to Sony’s PlayStation 4, the console has seen recent improvement through its November 12 update and Xbox 360 backwards compatibility.
